Foil Ribbon
Like any kid, you give them fancy, expensive toys and what becomes their favorite toy- the box or the packaging or in Grace's case, a piece of the shiny, crinkly foil ribbon that once wrapped a gift, long ago.

Back up Photos
How many times do I tell myself, I need to back up photos.
We have lost several years of digital photos in the past. You would think I would learn. But, no. Once again, I lost some recent photos of Grace that I really wanted to post. I was trying to save them and move them into categories but managed to delete them the other night, late the other night. Bummer. Note to self- don't move photos around late at night. The photos are of Grace swimming.
One of these days, I will be able to show you our happy-happy Grace, swimming in her new hot tub from the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Grace now has year round access to a swimming pool. We are so excited for her!
P.S. You may notice that I changed the name of Grace's Blog. It is still the same Grace you should know if you have signed up for the posts previously. Just thought you should be aware of the different blog name.

Back in the Saddle
Back in the Saddle Again!!!
Grace started horseback riding again! She sat very tall and strong.
After only a few reminders, Grace remembered "tap-tap," for telling her horse to "walk-on."
She was real happy and signed, "happy," a few times and also screamed her happy scream a couple times.
I'm so glad she likes it. Horseback riding is so good for Grace. It helps her posture and flexibility, improves motor control, and carries over into Grace's daily life.

Cashmere Apple Days Pie Winners
On a sibling note: Ellen and Martin made apple pies for the
Apple Days Festival at the
Cashmere Historic Museum and Pioneer Village.
Ellen won 1st place with
her Great-Great Aunt Lolita's Red Hot Apple Pie
and Martin won 2nd place with his Apple Crunch Pie.
The winning pies are then sold as a fundraiser for $13 each with a missing piece!
We didn't buy them back so we'll never know how good they are.
Well, actually pie making is on our list of fun for October.
Maybe we can make a Red Hot Crunch Apple Pie. Hmmmm!
Congrats!
